Yes, the cows eat primarily grass from the pasture year-round. When it gets too cold in winter, they go inside. There, they're fed silage and hay harvested from the same healthy pastures during the summer months. To ensure sufficient nutrients during the winter, they're sometimes supplemented with organic grains.
Can the cows graze freely?

The expiration date is always printed on the back of the packaging, at the bottom. We guarantee a minimum shelf life of 12 months. In reality, it's often longer. Therefore, it's possible to purchase multiple products at once for a longer period.
Is the whey heated during production?
The organic milk is heated very briefly and minimally to ensure the proteins remain intact and aren't damaged. The milk is heated briefly and then held at 60°C for about 15-20 seconds, after which it is cooled again. This makes our whey bioactive and undenatured. Furthermore, only ultrafiltration is performed to ensure the whey is completely clean.
Is it a whey protein concentrate or an isolate?
Ekopura whey is a protein concentrate (WPC 80). To create a whey isolate, which increases the protein content by 10%, an additional process is required that removes several very beneficial substances from the whey. These include vitamins and minerals, as well as lactoferrin and immunoglobulin, which contribute to the health-enhancing properties of whey protein. For this reason, we have decided to treat the whey as little as possible and use only WPC 80.
